JCM TritonSeating System

The stylish seating system to meet complex postural needs

The Triton seating system has been specifically designed to accommodate the needs of those users with extensive and complex requirements. A split seat as standard ensures leg length discrepancy is precisely supported, and the option of uniquely designed dynamic components means that even those users with powerful extensor patterns can maintain their optimum seating position.

The dynamic feature in the back rest is controlled via air pressure, for both the rate at which it opens under pressure from the user, as well as the rate at which it returns to its default position. These features give the Triton a controlled, gentle movement with the flexibility to meet any changing needs of the user as they grow or their presentation changes.

Modular Design meets Complex Needs

Modular Design meets Complex Needs

The JCM Triton is quick and easy to configure, and caters for the most extensive seating requirements.  Its modular, versatile design with great features such as detachable back and leg rests makes it fast and simple to configure to meet the user’s exact specification.

The Triton is highly adjustable, changing precisely with the user’s needs. As standard, the Triton has a multi directional sacral pad to accommodate rotation in the hips, adjustable angle leg rest mounting  to facilitate uni-lateral positioning and back angle adjustment, which is separate to tilt in space. Superior Dynamics options for the backrest and footplate are also available to give the chair controlled, gentle movements and improve sensory experience.

Triton Dynamix

Triton Dynamix

Unique to the Triton, superior dynamics is available as an option on both the back and footplate. The unique dynamic back is easily adjusted to control the level of resistance the user feels as they extend in the chair. This mechanism is not a spring action, as commonly used on dynamic chairs, but is air pressure controlled and the rebound is also adjustable so the back moves in harmony with the user rather than pushing them forward as they relax. These features give the chair a controlled, gentle movement with the flexibility to adjust the system as the user grows or presents differently.

The dynamic option in the footplate allows the footplate to move slightly in any direction, improving sensory experience whilst at the same time creating a more robust footprint for those heavy users, helping to ensure their position is maintained and helping to increase longevity in the product.
