Is the gel for Jay cushion sensitive to cold?

Yes like all gels. That's why we recommend not to leave a gel cushion in a car in a very cold weather. If you forget it, then leave it at room temperature so the gel regains its fluidity.

Who is the right person to assist me with positioning?

Occupational therapists will be able to assist you and advise in regards to good positioning - and what would be the correct equipment to use.

What are the advantages of a rigid backrest?

There are numerous advantages, including the greater postural support and a good alignment of the back structure. Pressure distribution is also improved, and also stability, comfort and functionality.

Can a JAY Back fit on any wheelchair?

Whether they're fitted on Sunrise Medical wheelchairs or other wheelchairs made by other companies, JAY's back fasteners are universal - and will cover a large number of backrest tubes.
